Oracles for the year are captured in a lecture CD and posted occasionally on this website. There is no need to understand the inner working of astrology to reap the benefits of her insights.

“The plan is written large in the skies: the gateway to the new millennium cannot be negotiated with the old patterns in control.” — Jeanne Mozier

Jeanne Mozier Bio

Jeanne Mozier is a unique blend of scholarship, professional experiences and metaphysical studies. An Ivy League scholar, she earned degrees in political science from Cornell and Columbia universities. More than five decades of professional experience have taken her from trends analysis for the CIA to political activities in the US Congress to the television screens and arts podiums of West Virginia.

Currently, Jeanne lives with her husband in the historic spa and art town of Berkeley Springs, WV where they recently retired from their vintage movie house after 42 years of owning and operating the Star Theatre.  In November 2013, she added a major novel to her list of published books.  Senate Magic blends her many sides as a political thriller set on a US Senate campaign where the female candidate has a close advisor, Max the Magician.  The book is filled with arcane magic, goddess lore and various predictive devices.  Her latest book, “The Story of Berkeley Castle,” was published in 2016 and is now in its second printing.

A noted arts activist and award-winning writer of fiction and non-fiction, Jeanne was given the state’s highest honor — the Distinguished West Virginian award — in 2005. That same year, she was part of the first “class” of the Eastern Panhandle’s Women of Distinction — the only Morgan County nominee.  In 2006, Saturn’s transit through Leo brought Jeanne a trifecta of high honors. She received a lifetime achievement award from West Virginia’s Volunteer and Community Services. Traditional Home magazine honored her as one of five women designated nationally as a Classic Woman. In October, Graffiti voted her book: Way Out in West Virginia as the Best Book about West Virginia, and Jeanne as Best West Virginia Author. The awards for the many segments of Jeanne’s life have not stopped. In 2008, she was named Small Business Administration Woman in Business for both West Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic region.  In 2010, Jeanne received the Governor’s Award for Outstanding Service to the Arts. In 2011, her work in local history was recognized when she was named a WV History Hero.  In 2014, Jeanne joined a former WV governor and former first lady as recipient of the Pioneer Award, given by the Collaborative for a 21st Century Appalachia for promoting WV tourism.  In 2019, she was awarded Best Print Article at WV Governor’s Conference on Tourism.

Her contribution to establishing and sustaining the noted creative community in Berkeley Springs, WV is deeply rooted in the tenets of social entrepreneurship including more than 40 years of establishing or reviving non-profit organizations that transformed life in the historic town.  These include founding the Morgan Arts Council, Museum of the Berkeley Springs and Travel Berkeley Springs convention and visitors bureau as well as reviving and expanding the Berkeley Springs-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce and the annual Apple Butter Festival.

Whether having lunch at the Kremlin, advising US Senate candidates, or originating unique statewide events, Jeanne Mozier is always doing what she calls “magic work.”

Jeanne has practiced astrology since 1972 using it to analyze and project social, political and cultural trends; and applying astrological insights to individual lives. A “full service oracle,”  Jeanne also consults tarot cards, Nordic runes and palmistry. Jeanne’s “magic work” is grounded in more than four decades of spiritual studies ranging from the esoteric material of Alice Bailey to goddess mythology. These explorations were built on elementary and secondary education in Catholic schools and university studies in philosophy.

Jeanne has retired from doing individual readings and now limits herself to annual Oracles lectures at locations around the Mid Atlantic starting each year as featured speaker at the two-day Festival of Light in Berkeley Springs on the second weekend in November.
